Modifications and Upgrades
Off -Roading can be a rewarding experoience but traversing various terrain an obstacles can sometimes be intimidating. Our goal at Hemet 4WD is to make that experience rewarding and joyful. Some of the modifications to consider if you haven't done so yet, and the rational behind them can be found below
Lifts and Tires
Having a lift installed on your vehicle will provide you with additional ground clearance when maneuvering over obstacles or uneven terrain. One approach is a body lift which rases the body relative to the frame. Another more popular way is a suspension lift which raises the entire vehicle by changing the geometry and suspension along with the necessary components to properly keep in alignment. The addition of larger tires will also increase your ground clearance along with providing greater grip on various surfaces. Some additional modifications would be sway bar disconnects which help to give your rig more flex, lockers and lights

Is it Lockers before Lights, or Lights before Lockers ?
I know my rock crawler friends will have a problem with this, but it actually comes down to how you use your rig. Lockers will make a huge difference when rock crawling but if you can control the Pucker factor and chose the correct line it can be done. My sport doesn't have lockers but I have managed some crawling without. My preference is night trails so my choice is lights. Again, the final choice is how and where you wheel.
"Our mission is simple: We desire to bring both new and seasoned off-roaders into our community. Our group consist of members that have lots of trail experience, capable rigs and mechanical ability to get you up and running and safely back home. We are an easy going group that values the contributions of even our newest members. After all we were all new at one time Even I get stuck sometimes, ( see picture ) Thanks to Adam Morgan for pulling me out of Egypt!
